Born in Changsha, Hunan. Zhouanqi Liu is a multidisciplinary filmmaker and artist whose work spans directing, screenwriting, editing, production design, photography, and darkroom artistry.

They graduated from the Beijing Film Academy with a BA in Screenwriting and from Columbia University with an MFA in Film, with a concentration in Directing.

Their work explores the delicate balance between personal existence and destiny. Rooted in rigorous storytelling, they strive to capture and re-imagine time and imagery with poetic intensity.
